Ibabalik na ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang pagsasagawa ng face-to-face job fairs sa buong bansa.
Sinabi ni Labor Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay, inihahanda na ito sa pagtatapos ng buwang kasalukuyan.
Nasa proseso na ang pagtukoy ng mga bakanteng trabaho at posibleng venue ng job fairs.
“Public employment service offices [have] requested for the resumption of face-to-face assessment and job interviews,” saad ni Tutay sa press briefing.
Tiniyak naman ng DOLE na mapapanatili ang minimum health standards sa pagsasagawa ng job fairs.
“We will have a cut-off on a specific day. Kung makita natin na maraming job seekers, we will do it in batches,” paliwanag ni Tutay.
Ayon kay Tutay, nahihirapan ang employers sa pagtanggap ng manggagawa sa pamamagitan ng online recruitment.
“One of the challenges is that virtual hiring could only accommodate limited number of job applicants,” dagdag pa ni Tutay.
Sinabi rin ni Tutay na dahil sa quarantine restrictions, malayo pang maabot ang target na one million jobs ngayong taon.
“Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been generated, but we are still far from the one million target,” dagdag pa niya.
Ilan sa mga nilikhang trabaho ay mula sa construction at manufacturing sectors.
