Nakatakda na ring busisiin ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang bilyong pisong kontrata na iginawad ng gobyerno sa Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. tungkol sa umano’y “overpriced” na medical equipment.
“Because of the news that has come out and some of these allegations, and that area would be under the resident auditor of the PS-DBM, not the Department of Health. About the issues that we’ve been seeing, I think the resident auditor has already taken note and he is also looking into these,” ayon kay COA chairperson Michael Aguinaldo.
“We will ask the resident auditor to come out with his own study on the matter… It’s hard to commit to an exact period. I would say, a month would be a reasonable time.”
Nag-ugat ang naturang pahayag ng tanungin siya ni House Deputy Speaker at Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez kung nire-review ba nila ang kontrata ng Pharmally sa gobyerno.
Matatandaang, ayon sa mga report ay nakuha ng Pharmally ang P 8.7 bilyong kontrata ng suplay ng face masks at face shields mula sa PS-DBM na naging paksa ng imbestigasyon ng senado.
