Matapos na magsara nang mahigit isang taon ang mga sinehan sa bansa dahil sa pandemya, itinakda na ang muling pagbubukas ng ilang sinehan sa loob at labas ng National Capital Region (NCR) sa November 10, ayon sa Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
“The undersigned wishes to inform the public that various Cinemas/Movie theaters situated within and outside Metro Manila will finally re-open its doors to moviegoers on 10 November 2021, following the downtrend in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases,” pahayag ni MTRCB Executive Director at Spokesperson Jose Benjamin A. Benaldo.

Ang listahan ay nagmula sa Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines at Nood Tayo ng Sine Facebook page ng Film Development Council of the Philippines, ayon sa MTRCB.
“In closing, the MTRCB affirms its policy of respect and deterrence to government instrumentalities operating within the framework of their mandates as dictated by law,” dagdag ni Benaldo.
“In the case of the resumption of Cinema operations, it shall be the IATF-MEID and the Local Government Units who shall determine implementing guidelines to uphold health and safety controls for the viewing public,” sabi pa ni Benaldo.
Kabilang ang IATF’s rule, bumuo rin ang Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) ng standard protocols na tinawag na “Sa Sine Safe Ka.”
Ipatutupad ng malls ang mga sumusunod na standard protocols:
– Bago pumasok sa loob ng sinehan, kailangan kuhanan ng body temperature ang mga moviegoer
– Kailangan ding ipresenta ng moviegoers ang authentic vaccination card na nagpapakitang sila ay kumpletong bakunado
– Bawal kumain sa loob ng sinehan
– Pagsusuot ng facemask
– Pagpapatupad ng “socially-distanced sitting”
– Hinihikayat din ang contactless at cashless na pagbili ng ticket
– Pagsasa-ayos ng air ventilation
– Pagkakaroon ng hand-sanitizers sa pasukan ng sinehan
– Paghuhugas ng kamay kada 30 minuto ng mga empleyado ng sinehan
– Paglilinis sa mga upuan sa pagitan ng screenings
