Higit 1M doses ng Pfizer vaccine, dumating sa bansa

Dumating sa Pilipinas ang 924,300 doses ng Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, kung saan ilalaan ang bahagi nito sa mga kabataang edad 12 hanggang 17.

Ayon sa National Task Force Against COVID-19, ang suplay ay dumating  araw ng Lunes, October 11 sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Donasyon ito ng United States sa pamamagitan ng COVAX.

“This completes the 1.8 million, which is part of the 10 million donations of the U.S. government,” ayon kay NTF Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor.

“Pfizer is one of the vaccines that will be used for the inoculation of our adolescents aged 12 to 17. Pfizer has already an EUA, which is intended for adolescents,” dagdag pa ni Mayor.

Matatandaang sinabi ni vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. na gaganapin ang pilot vaccination sa mga menor de edad simula October 15.

Samantala, sumunod na lumapag kagabi ang may 272,610 doses ng Pfizer vaccine.

Personal na tinanggap nina Asec. Mayor at US Embassy Political Officer Kevin Riley ang nasabing shipment na dumating sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Ang nasabing shipment naman ay binili ng gobyerno.
