Pinayagan na ng Department of Health (DOH) na bumili ang mga ospital ng COVID-19 investigational drugs na may emergency use authorization sa bansa.
Partikular na rito ang Remdesivir, Tocilizumab, at Baricitinib, ayon kay Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.
“Mayroon po kaming ilalabas na policy. This is an admin order among the investigational drugs that we are using for COVID-19 because usually ang may EUA (emergency use authorization) po kasi ay ang DOH,” dagdag pa ni Vergeire sa online briefing.
“We are now delegating this authority to procure doon po sa ating mga hospitals para makakagamit na sila agad-agad ng investigational drugs. We are just waiting for it to be signed tapos mag-uumpisa na tayo niyan,” dagdag pa ni Vergeire.
Nilinaw ni Vergeire na sakop ng administrative order ang COVID-19 investigational drugs na naisyuhan ng emergency use authorization (EUA) ng Food and Drug Administration.
Kakailanganin pa aniya ng mga ospital na mag-apply ng compassionate special permit (CSP) ng investigational drugs na walang EUA.
