Cinderella Faye Obeñita, kinoronahang Miss Intercontinental 2021

Kinoronahan si Cinderella Faye Obeñita bilang Miss Intercontinental 2021 kagabi, October 29, sa Egypt.

Mula sa 70 kandidata sa kompetisyon, naiuwi ni Obeñita ang ikalawang Miss Intercontinental title ng Pilipinas. Unang nanalo si Karen Gallman noong 2018.

“From wild card to Miss Intercontinental 2021! Your Cinderella story is truly inspiring. Thank you for raising our flag, Cindy,” pagbati ng Binibining Pilipinas organization.

Sa question and answer portion, tinanong si Obeñita kung mahalaga ang pagsasalita ng English sa Miss Intercontinental.

“As long as that woman is a woman of power and grace, commitment, and intelligence, no matter what language she speaks, and that woman is actually a woman of style and substance, then she can win any pageant or any endeavor she is into,” sagot ni Obeñita.

“… we are living in a world that’s very hard to survive. And as Miss Intercontinental, I would like to be that source of hope; that source of inspiration on the true power of beauty,” dagdag ni Obeñita.

Ang 25 anyos na tourism officer ay mula sa Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. Nagtapos si Cindy bilang magna cum laude sa degree na Mass Communication sa Liceo de Cagayan University.

Siya ay kasalukuyang tourism operations officer sa provincial government ng Misamis Oriental.

1^st runner-up naman mula Mexico si Paulina Uceda, at 2^nd runner-up mula England si Romy Simpkins.
