CHED: 56 INDIBIDWAL NAGKA-COVID SA FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

Umabot sa 56 indibidwal ang nagkaroon ng COVID-19 sa limitadong face-to-face classes sa kolehiyo ayon sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Sa Laging Handa briefing, sinabi ni CHED chairperson Prospero de Vera na 41 dito ay estudyante at 15 ang faculty members.

Sa kabilang banda, sinabi naman ni De Vera na hindi ito nakababahala dahil mababa lang ito kumpara sa mga hawaang nangyayari sa labas ng mga eskwelahan.

“This is not a cause for concern because less than one percent is very, very low compared with the infection rate happening outside the universities.” Pahayag ni de Vera.

Ayon pa kay de Vera, ang mga estudyanteng naapektuhan ay asymptomatic.

“This is safe compared with other activities individuals do,” dagdag ni De Vera.

Para kay De Vera, essential ang pagsasagawa ng limitadong face-to-face classes.

“If they don’t do clinical internships, they are at risk of not acquiring needed skills. We have to remember that they are dealing with human lives.” paliwanag ni de Vera.

“Without the clinical internship, they might miss skills and that would put their patients at risk,” dagdag pa nito.
