Nagdeklara na ng ‘state of calamity’ ang Cebu makaraang masalanta ng bagyong Odette, base sa inilabas na executive order ni Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia.
“Super Typhoon Odette severely damaged homes, buildings, and other infrastructures causing a province-wide blackout and water shortage,” saad sa EO ni Garcia.
Ilalabas naman ng kapitolyo ang kanilang huling assessment sa bilang ng mga nasawi at napinsala dahil sa bagyong Odette.
Nagdeklara na rin si Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama ng state of calamity sa kanyang nasasakupan lalo pa’t karamihan sa lugar ay wala pa ring kuryente.
Samantala, inilagay na rin sa state of calamity ang Bohol dahil sa tindi ng pinsalang dulot ng bagyong Odette.
Inanunsyo ni Bohol Governor Arthur Yap ngayong Sabado na napirmahan na niya ang Executive Order 65 na nade=deklara sa buong lalawigan ng Boho sa state of calamity dahil sa matinding pinsala ng bagyo.
Ang EO ay napirmahan na noong Biyernes, December 17.
“Based on the initial assessment of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, [Typhoon] Odette severely damaged homes, buildings, establishments and government facilities and infrastructure, as well as communication facilities and power lines, all over the province,” ayon pa sa EO”
