Iminungkahi ni Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor sa Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na i-exempt ang medical professionals at health personnel sa number coding scheme.
“They should be exempted from this vehicle volume reduction scheme to allow them to do their job especially in case of emergencies,” ani Defensor.
Aniya, alas-8:00 ng gabi pa natatapos ang number coding ngunit may mga dayshift medical personnel na kailangang makauwi at hindi dapat hulihin sa number coding.
“Those working in government hospitals usually end their duty at 5 p.m. They should be allowed to travel at once, if they have vehicles, and be with their loved ones, instead of passing time in their workplaces or in malls where they would be exposed to the highly infections new coronavirus and its variants,” paliwanag ng mambabatas.
Sa mga night shift ay dapat payagan ding bumiyahe sa loob ng 3 hour coding scheme sa pagitan ng alas-5:00 hanggang alas-8:00 ng gabi.
“They do critical, life-and-death-related work in hospitals, which obviously cannot wait for three hours to be done,” aniya.
“They should just present their Professional Regulation Commission license or hospital-health facility ID when flagged down by traffic enforcers,” pagtatapos pa ng mambabatas.
