Sara Duterte, tatakbong presidente ayon kay Rep. Joey Salceda

Tatakbo bilang presidente si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio sa 2022 elections, ayon kay Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda.

Matatandaang ilang ulit sinabi ni Duterte-Carpio na gusto muna niyang tapusin ang kanyang huling termino bilang mayor ng Davao City.

Pero ayon kay Salceda,  matagal nang gustong tumakbo ni Duterte-Carpio sa pagka-presidente.

“She wanted to run since May. There were just stumbling blocks towards it,” paglalahad ni Salceda sa ANC.

Ayon sa kongresista, nakausap niya ang mayora isang oras bago niya bawiin ang kanyang kandidatura sa pagka-alkalde.

“There’s no VP option for her and picking a VP for her is not a problem,” sabi ni Salceda.

Tinanong si Salceda kung tatakbo si Duterte Carpio bilang ka-running mate ni presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos.

“Definitely that’s a speculation because she’s running for president. All these political gyrations just show she’s going toward the presidency,” ayon kay Salceda.

“I cannot say confirming but based on our long-running chats… I think basically she will make a good president in the first place,” ayon sa kongresista.

Posibleng tumakbo umano si Duterte-Carpio sa ilalim ng Lakas-CMD.

Samantala, una namang sinabi ng Commission on Elections na ang mga kandidato ay hindi na maaaring lumipat ng partido para mag-substitute sa isang kandidato pagkatapos ng October 8.

“Bago siya lumabas definitely she would tell Bongbong she’s running for president… They will be considered in that decision of Sara,” ayon kay Salceda.

“Kung si Imee [Marcos] nasunod, Imee wanted Sara to run for president,” ayon sa kongresista, nang tanungin kung posibleng tumakbo si Duterte-Carpio bilang vice president ni Marcos.
