Naglunsad ng mental health helpline ang Department of Education (DepEd) para sa mga guro at estudyante.
“We prioritize the promotion and protection of the mental health and general welfare of our personnel and learners, especially amidst the challenges we face due to the crisis,” ayon ka DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones.
Ayon kay Briones, mahalagang protektahan ang mga guro at estudyante sa harap ng hamong dala ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Kabilang sa mga grupong magbibigay ng psychosocial support services ay ang Circle of Hope Community Services, Masters Psychological Services, Hopeline PH at The 700 Club Asia.

Nagkaroon ng 57 percent na pagtaas ng kaso ng suicide sa bansa noong isang taon, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Mula 2,810 cases noong 2019, pumalo ito sa 4,420 noong 2020.
Iniulat din ng National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) na dumoble rin ang bilang ng mga suicide-related calls na natanggap nila noong isang taon.
“These helplines can provide various ways to support our learners and personnel. They may provide mental health and psychosocial support services, as well as wellness checks,” ayon kay Director Ronilda Co ng Disaster Risk Reduction Management Service.
