Nagpositibo sa COVID-19 ang dalawang taong gulang na lalaki matapos isama ng pamilya sa pamamasyal sa mall.

“Just diagnosed a 2-yr old kid positive for COVID-19… Guess what they did? Went to the mall 3 days ago. Please, mag-ingat po tayo,” saad sa social media ng doktor na sumuri sa bata, ayon sa ulat ng Inquirer.net.

Ayon sa doktor, ang bata ay sinuri sa pamamagitan ng rapid antigen test matapos makitaan ng sintomas.

Samantala, hinimok naman ni Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III na muling isagawa ang COVID-19 rapid antigen test sa batang nagpositibo.

“Baka (it could be) false-positive. They should retest,” ang text message ni Duque sa Inquirer.net

Sa kabilang banda, pinag-aaralan na ng Metro Manila mayors ang ipapataw na age restriction sa shopping malls, ayon kay Interior Secretary Eduardo Año kaugnay ng balitang ito.

“That’s very unfortunate. That’s why we are still reminding everyone to follow the public health protocols and for the parents to discern in bringing their kids to the mall to be careful and only if it’s necessary,” saad ni Año sa Inquirer.net.

“The MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development) mayors are also reviewing the age restrictions to be allowed to go to the mall. While we have low COVID cases, the pandemic is still not over,” dagdag pa ni Año.

Sa ilalim ng Alert Level 2, pinapayagan ang mga bata sa malls at parks.
